ADVANSA´s new microfibre ADVA®Staple for the nonwovens industry

Using a unique technology, ADVANSA has developed a new microfibre for the nonwovens industry. With a diameter of only 8 μm (0.6 dtex), the fibres are particularly soft. A special surface treatment provides hydrophilicity, so that an immediate moisture transport can be ensured. The fibres are crimped and suitable for dry laid processes. The stability of the nonwoven can be achieved through needle punching, hydroentanglement or heat setting. This new fibre type is suitable especially for hygiene products, medical textiles and filtration. They can also be used in contact with food.
