INNOVATIONS AND NEW CONCEPTS - ANNUAL REVIEW 2024

The year was characterised by new ideas and innovative products for ADVANSA. We would like to take the opportunity to give you a brief review of our latest developments in 2024:
Since the invention of polyester and its use as a filling fibre for bedding, we have continuously worked to replicate the comfort properties of down, aiming to combine lightness with ultra-soft and cozy qualities.

DACRON® Sensation microfibres have been developed to mimic the luxurious feel of natural down while offering exceptional durability and hypoallergenic properties. The gel technology integrated into the fibres provides a soft, cuddly feeling allowing the pillow to mould comfortably to the shape of your head and neck. In addition, an innovative silicone treatment of the fibre surface provides exceptional soft touch, giving a unique ‘down-like feel’.

Two years ago, our engineers succeeded in developing DACRON® RE-Comfort - a filling fibre containing 20% recycled textiles. This year, they achieved a significant breakthrough by increasing the proportion of recycled textile waste to over 50%. As part of our pioneering ECO Origin™ Program, they have advanced existing technology, transforming simple textile waste into a valuable resource.

Suprelle® & Hemp was developed according to ecological principles and utilises the natural power of hemp. Hemp oil, which is extracted from the hemp plant, has become a popular trend in many areas. Suprelle® & Hemp combines polyester fibres with 20% sustainably sourced hemp fibres. The result is an environmentally friendly filling fibre that is durable, breathable, and highly moisture-absorbent.

With the introduction of Aerelle® Blue filling fibres, ADVANSA has been actively contributing to the reduction of plastic waste in our oceans for years. Aerelle® Blue Fabrics mark the next step in this commitment. These new, sustainable fabrics are designed for use in home textiles and apparel. By incorporating Aerelle® Blue fill fibres in bedding, we provide high-quality sleep comfort while supporting the protection of our endangered marine ecosystems.

In 2024, ADVANSA has once again demonstrated its strong innovative capabilities.
